Accessibility Statement

Addicted To Life is committed to making addicted2life.org accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, speech input, or reduced-motion settings.

Conformance standard

This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We consider the site substantially conformant with that standard: it was built against these criteria and tested, but no site is ever finished, and automated testing cannot catch everything.

What we have done

• Semantic structure. Landmarks, one h1 per page, and a heading order that follows the meaning of the content.
• Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated by keyboard, with a “skip to main content” link as the first item on every page.
• Visible focus. A high-contrast focus outline appears on every focusable element and is never removed.
• Colour contrast. Body text, headings, and interface text meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio required at Level AA. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• Forms. Every field has a visible, permanently associated label. Errors are announced, described in words, linked to the field they belong to, and focus moves to them.
• Reduced motion. If your system requests reduced motion, animations are switched off and all content arrives in its final state.
• Text and zoom. The layout reflows to 320px and supports 200% zoom without loss of content or function. Text can be resized.
• Touch targets. Interactive controls are sized for comfortable use on touch screens.
• Images and graphics. Informative graphics carry text alternatives; purely decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

We link to external services such as national helplines and government directories. Those sites are outside our control, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. If you hit a barrier on one of them, tell us anyway — we would rather link to something that works for you.

How this was assessed

The site was evaluated by its developers against the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria, using a combination of automated auditing and manual checks including keyboard-only navigation, focus order, heading structure, and colour contrast measurement. A formal third-party audit has not been carried out.
