Privacy Policy
What this website collects, what it does not, and what happens to a message you send us.
Last updated

This policy explains how Addicted To Life (“Addicted To Life”, “we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the website at addicted2life.org. We have written it to be short and specific, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
The short version
This is a static informational website. It has no accounts, no login, no shopping basket, and no database. The only information you can send us is what you type into the contact form, and we use it to reply to you.
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form, you provide your name, email address, a subject, and your message. We use these solely to read and respond to your enquiry.
We do not store contact form submissions on this website. Messages are passed directly to the organisation’s chosen delivery service so that a person can read and answer them. Please do not include medical details, diagnoses, or other sensitive personal information in the form — it is an ordinary message channel, not a secure clinical one.
Anti-spam measures
To stop automated abuse, the form checks a hidden field that only automated submitters fill in, and measures how long the page was open before submission. We also apply a short-term submission limit derived from a one-way hash of your IP address and browser user agent. That hash is held in memory only, rotates automatically, and is not stored, logged alongside your message, or used to identify you.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form.
- We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across other websites.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no client-side analytics or advertising scripts. If the organisation later adds analytics, this policy will be updated before it goes live, and any tool used will be configured to avoid collecting personal information wherever possible.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for the purposes of delivering the site, security, and abuse prevention. This is handled under Vercel’s own privacy terms and is not something we access to identify individual visitors.
Links to other services
We link to external services such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, SAMHSA, and FindTreatment.gov. These are operated independently of Addicted To Life, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
How long we keep messages
Messages sent through the contact form are retained by the organisation only as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of correspondence. You can ask us to delete your message at any time using the contact form.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act — you may have additional rights. We will honour reasonable requests regardless of where you are.
To make a request, use the contact form and tell us what you would like us to do.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change with it.
